Hi Everyone,
SOLL would like to invite all players from the Senior TBall teams to attend the end of season event on Saturday July 21st from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM. We will be holding a Skills Competition in the morning followed a Future Stars game in the afternoon. Lunch will be offered to the players and coaches. The winner of each event will get a prize.
WARMUP - 9 AM
SKILLS COMPETITION 9:30
1. Speed Throw; each player will have 5 chances to throw as hard as they can into a net. Velocity will be captured using a radar gun. The fastest speed recorded will win this event.
2. Speed Running; each player will have 3 attempts to run as fast as they can from home to first base. The fastest time recorded will win this event.
3. Accuracy Throwing; each player will have 6 attempts to throw a ball into each of the 4 target locations. The player who completes this task using the least amount of balls will win this event.
4. Home Run Derby; players will have 10 balls to hit over "the fence" to simulate a home run. The player with the most home runs will win this event.
Note: Ties in any competition will be decided by a head to head playoff to determine the winner.
LUNCH - 1130AM
Each participating player and coach will get a two slice pizza lunch and a drink, courtesy of SOLL! Please advise your coach no later than Friday Noon if you would like cheese or pepperoni slices or of any food allergies that we need to be made aware of..
DRAFT 1230PM
Game Draft; all players will be divided randomly into 2 teams for the afternoon game. Once your team is set, players will go the the appropriate dug outs for a quick team meeting.
FUTURE STARS GAME 1300PM (2hrs)
Strictly the tees will be used in this friendly game of tee ball. However, the game will consist of 3 outs per inning, max 4 swings attempts, max 5 runs per inning. Our goal is to simulate a real game but keep the action in the field. We will have an umpire and attempt to get in 7 innings for the game.
